MHK votes against bill
East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw has explained why he opposed a bill to allow gay marriage.
The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill was carried through the clauses stage by Chief Minister Allan Bell in the Keys on Tuesday.
All of the amendments tabled by North Douglas member John Houghton were thrown out.
Mr Robertshaw claims current legislation means same sex couples already have equal rights:
