No recycling provision available locally
Robinson's Fresh Foods says it sends up to ten tonnes of plastic and card per week to the UK to be recycled.
The local wholesalers has been trialling a plastic-free section in the Douglas Shoprite store.
The plan is to roll out zones like these across the Island.
