No flights are going in or out while officers investigate
Ronaldsway Airport is currently closed after concerns have been raised about a possible suspicious package.
All flights have been cancelled while it's investigated.
Police admit the cancellations will have an impact on people's travel plans and understand their frustration, but say everything they're doing is to keep the public safe.
Officers say anyone stuck at the airport will be able to take calls from relatives, and they're making arrangements to safely remove them as soon as possible.
Emergency services have also closed the surrounding roads and are asking people to avoid the area while it's investigated.
Isle of Man Transport says the closures are having a 'serious knock on effect' to their services for the south.
