Island is prepared, says forecaster
Ronaldsway Met Office has ruled out upgrading a yellow weather warning to amber as it believes the Island is 'prepared'.
Warnings come into effect this afternoon from 2pm until midnight, with a risk of travel delays and damage.
Severe gales are being forecast with winds of up to 70mph in isolated places, and gusts widely between 55-65mph.
