DEFA Minister denies the move will take cash away from agricultural industry
The government claims combining the grants offered to farmers and fishermen will improve efficiency.
It's played down fears from the agricultural industry that the amount of help currently on offer will be spread thinner.
The public are being asked to comment on the streamlined approach which proposes bringing together four separate grant systems.
Farmers fear that could take cash away from the industry.
