Snaefell Mountain Railway closed to public following visitor bookings
An Isle of Man record for the most cruise ship passengers to arrive in Manx waters in a single day is expected to be broken, as Rotterdam anchors in Douglas.
More than 2,700 passengers are on board which will break the previous record held by the Nieuw Statendam.
Many visitors will be exploring the Island on organised ship tours, as well as independently.
The Snaefell Mountain Railway is closed to the public today for pre-booked excursions.
It's anticipated cruise visitors will fill all available space on the limited capacity trams.
Rotterdam is almost 300 metres long with 12 passenger decks and is reported to weigh in at almost 100,000 gross tonnage.
She'll spend most of today in the Isle of Man and is set to sail away for her next call in Dún Laoghaire at 6pm.
