Response to letter surprises charity boss
Bill Dale of Beach Buddies says it was fantastic to receive a letter from the Queen which recognised the work of the charity and its volunteers.
The correspondence, which came via Her Majesty's lady-in-waiting, was in response to a letter Mr Dale had sent thanking her for the invitation to Buckingham Palace to pick up his British Empire Medal.
He says it was a shock to get the reply.
