16 people arrested since start of annual campaign
The Isle of Man Constabulary's Roads Policing Unit says it will take action against motorists who choose to drink or take drugs before getting behind the wheel.
Since launching Operation Ripple Effect ahead of the festive period, 16 people have been arrested for being over the drink or drug drive limit.
Three of them were arrested last night (Friday 19 December).
The RPU warns officers will be out in force in marked and unmarked vehicles this weekend as it is traditionally a busy weekend.
If you are planning a night out, police are urging you to plan your way home as well to ensure you and others get home safely.
