Rushen MHK Juan Watterson has paid tribute to a popular member of his constituency, who passed away suddenly this week.
As a teacher, Tony Wright helped inspire many of the young people he came into contact with, working particularly well with students who struggled in mainstream education.
There was involvement in local politics, too - he served on Port Erin Commissioners in 2012 and stood in the 2006 House of Keys general election in Rushen.
Mr Wright was also very active in the Island's arts scene - particularly acting and literature.
Mr Watterson says the political positions he sought showed what kind of a person he was.
