Police investigating burglary at Douglas shop
Police are investigating after a safe was stolen during a burglary at a coffee shop in Douglas.
It happened at around 2am on Tuesday (28 May) at Costa on Strand Street.
Officers say a large white safe, of ‘considerable weight’, was taken and they believe power tools - which would have caused ‘significant noise’ - were used.
They believe the offender used a silver or grey Honda Jazz to transport the item away from the scene adding it would have taken ‘some effort to move’.
Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
