 
                            Free training and awareness workshops for professionals
Children and adult safeguarding will be put under the spotlight from Monday (20 November).
A week of events has been organised as part of the first joint Safeguarding Week on the Isle of Man.
Hosted by the Isle of Man Safeguarding Board it aims to improve awareness of the signs of abuse and neglect and ensure professionals can report concerns.
Free training and awareness workshops for professionals in relevant sectors will be run throughout the week.
Independent Chair Lesley Walker said: “By providing a range of events, training and information throughout the week led by a range of local dedicated professional leads, the board aims to improve awareness of the signs of abuse and neglect and ensure professionals can report concerns.
“We will be focusing on learning from best practice to support professionals to know how to best protect people who may be suffering harm.”
