UK expected to introduce new test in 2018

Consultant obstetrician and gynecological lead at Noble's Hospital Michele Moroney says we're likely to follow when it's introduced to the UK in 2018.
The non-invasive (NIPT) blood test replaces the amniocentesis test - where a needle is used to remove a sample of amniotic fluid around the foetus for testing.
The method is riskier, and results in 1 in 100 pregnant women miscarrying, whereas NIPT is more accurate, and tests for other genetic disorders too.
