
A permanent tribute has been unveiled in memory of a well-respected Island journalist.
Esther Richmond who passed away last year, covered court cases on the Isle of Man for more than 40 years.
Family and friends joined Esther's colleagues from the courts, police and local media for a ceremony at Douglas courthouse on Tuesday.
A plaque marking her lifetime career was unveiled by the Island’s First Deemster David Doyle, close to the press room regarded by those who knew her as her second home.
He said Esther was an 'old school' court reporter and a real character who commanded great respect:
