Awards recognise care staff progress
A nursing home care team has been recognised for its efforts to help patients suffering from dementia.
Training certificates and badges have been awarded to staff at Castle View who completed the Living in My World training course.
Health Minister Howard Quayle attended a special ceremony in Peel to present the nurses with the City and Guilds accredited certificates.
Staff had to complete a workshop, a workbook and pass an e-learning knowledge test to earn the qualification.
The awards coincide with Dementia Awareness Week, which is seeing different events taking place around the Island each day.
Castle View operator Caring Homes says all of its workers, regardless of their job, will be taking the Living in My World training in the next few months.
