Cyclist and Diabetes IoM calling for greater resources for those living with condition
On World Diabetes Day (14 November) one of the Isle of Man's professional athletes wants to help people affected by the condition to allow them to 'thrive' and 'dream' in their lives.
Cyclist Sam Brand - who has Type 1 Diabetes - is continuing to use his position in the sport to help raise awareness and drive change.
Alongside Diabetes Isle of Man he spoke to MHKs today calling for improved resources to help those living with the condition.
Sam, and Natasha Parry from the charity, say they want to see things change in the future:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
Isle of Man economy contracts for second year
