The Isle of Man Samaritans are looking for more volunteers to answer the phones, as demand for their services increases.
There has been a rise in the number of people seeking emotional support over the past year, especially as the charity now provides counselling via email and text in order to reach out to younger people.
The organisation is run on a voluntary basis and spokesman Clive Dugdale says the work does require commitment:
