Call out late Wednesday night
The Manx branch of the Search and Rescue Dog Association responded to a call-out late on Wednesday night (14 Nov)
Following a request from police just after 11.30pm, SARDA sent a team of three dogs, Star, Holly and Matt, with handlers and their respective navigators to look for what was described as a "high risk" missing person.
After searching several areas, search dog Matt with handler Marc Marshall found the missing person. Marc and his navigator Ffinlo Williams administered first aid and a coastguard rescue team used their basket stretcher to carry the casualty to an Ambulance.
Manx Radio understands the person concerned was taken by ambulance to hospital to receive further treatment and medical attention.
