Positive reports from Manx Fish Producers Association
The 2022/23 Scallop season, which ended recently, has been described as the best for a number of years.
Just under 90 per cent of the total allowable catch of 2,049 tonnes was landed by 47 licenced vessels - 24 of which were Manx and 23 from the UK.
Dr. David Beard of the Manx Fish Producers Association says there were many positives to be gleaned from the season.
