Charity 'saddened' scam has taken money from businesses
The ManxSPCA says fraudsters have used its name as part of a scam on social media.
The animal welfare charity says it's not holding an August Fair, despite an event posted on Facebook over the weekend claiming otherwise.
The organisation confirmed the event has been successful in taking money from those hoping to promote their business or members of the public looking to run a stall.
It's urging social media users not to fall for the scam, adding that it will only post such events from its own Facebook page and website.
