Decision to be made by 7.30am
The Education Minister Graham Cregeen has defended today's decision to close all schools and University College Isle of Man.
However, a review of the existing protocol with all agencies involved has been held.
The call was made this morning as a safe and timely bus service could not be provided.
The department consults with the Met Office, Isle of Man Transport, Infrastructure and the Home Affair's Emergency Planning Unit.
That process has now been brought forward by 15 minutes and any decision about school closures tomorrow will be made by 7.30am.
This will allow parents and school staff sufficient time to rearrange their work and childcare plans.
