Chief Minister faces Tynwald question on action taken
The issue of plugging the hunger gap filled by free school meals during term time will be raised in Tynwald today (Tues 19)
The problem was highlighted last year when the Isle of Man Foodbank noted a spike in the use of its services during the school summer holiday period.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine will ask the Chief Minister what action has been taken to prevent the same increase in demand this year.
Mrs Caine, who recently resigned from her post as Children's Champion, says its something that came up during her time in the role.
