£3.6 million for St Mary's R.C. School
Pupils present and future of a Douglas primary school are set to benefit from a major revamp of the building, if Tynwald gives the go-ahead.
Next week, it will be asked to approve spending £3.6 million on the works at St Mary's Roman Catholic school.
The proposal would see five new classrooms built, along with an extension to the school hall and two existing classrooms.
Three mobile ones are currently used to help accommodate the school's pupils.
The building is also due to be re-clad to help it retain heat better.
Subject to Tynwald approval, it's hoped the work will begin later this month, with completion due by August next year.
