It’s time for Castle Rushen High School to move forward.
That's the belief of Rushen MHK Juan Watterson after it was announced head teacher Maria Tomaszewska will be leaving her post at the end of the month.
Mrs Tomaszewska, who has been absent since the new academic year began last September, has handed in her resignation.
She had been away from work while an investigation was carried out into the running of the school.
Mr Watterson told Manx Radio:
"I think the most important thing is that this has now come to a conclusion, that we can draw a line under it and I hope that the school, the staff, the pupils and the parents can all move on.
"I'm aware that the school will be advertising for a new head teacher once all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed, and I very much look forward to working with all the above, plus the governors, in terms of making sure that the school stays successful into the future."
