The Department of Education and Children says all schools in the Isle of Man will be open as normal tomorrow (Friday), unless there is a significant deterioration in conditions.
Some snow fell this afternoon and, with more forecast overnight, officials will stay in close contact with the Met Office, in case the position needs to be reviewed.
All this evening's events at local schools are going ahead.
Forecasts suggest the snow will come in between midday and 3pm tomorrow, and Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare says that will have to be taken into account:
