Immersive experience for BHS students
History is being brought to life at Ballakermeen High School today, with the opening of a unique exhibition about the two World Wars.
Year 9 students performed a special drama set around a life-size battlefield trench, at this morning's opening in front of VIP guests and local veterans.
Pupils' research into aspects of life during the wars is on display indoors, while on the school field, re enactors are taking wartime roles in period costume.
There's also a makeshift field hospital, a Spitfire aircraft and a VE Day cafe!
The exhibition is open until 4pm this afternoon.
