A week after a case of BSE, or Mad Cow Disease, was confirmed in Scotland, the country's Chief Vet says it should not affect meat exports from there.
She insists Scottish beef is safe and can continue to be exported to trading partners.
Mad Cow Disease is an incurable and invariably fatal disease of cattle.
Symptoms include abnormal behavior, trouble walking, and weight loss.
On the Isle of Man BSE remains a notifiable disease.
The Manx Government's Chief Vet, Dr Amy Beckett, doesn't believe the case in Scotland poses a threat, but adds her department continues to keep a watchful eye on developments:
