Further probing of 'complex' issue
A Tynwald committee scrutinising the way work capability tests are carried out in the Island says it needs more time to compile its report.
The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee says its received a substantial number of responses - including two sessions of evidence from the public - but still needs to gather more.
Committee chair David Cretney MLC says their work will not be completed before September's general election - and could continue well into the autumn.
Mr Cretney says the report's delay is disappointing but necessary - to ensure the 'complex' issues are thoroughly investigated.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare is due to make a statement to Tynwald about the firm carrying out capability assessments Dependability Ltd, later this month.
