A sculptor on the Isle of Man is auctioning a replica of a Manx lifeboat to help raise money to train new lifesaving volunteers.
John Allcote has made a Severn Class - entirely from scrap metal - to say thank you to the RNLI after they helped him retrieve his own boat when it came loose last December.
It’s currently on display at Port St Mary Town Hall and will travel around the Island until the auction concludes on 30 June.
John says as well as being a way of giving something back it’s a tribute to his great uncle who saved many lives at sea:
