"We're coming to Christmas and money is tight," says union
Trade union Unite thinks seasonal pressures could have influenced public sector workers to vote in favour of a six percent pay increase.
The union revealed 62 percent of its members accepted the offer but says the 38 percent who rejected it "don't go unnoticed".
It previously accused the Public Services Commission of creating a 'disparity' between the lowest and highest pay brackets by offering a percentage increase over an alternative.
