Second Survivorship conference
A day-long event for cancer patients past and present is being held in Douglas today (Friday).
The second Survivorship conference organised by the Cancer Services' User Forum will offer a range of speakers and topics, aimed at those living with, or after the disease.
It co-includes with the Macmillan charity's fund-raising coffee morning, and visitors are invited to grab a cake and coffee before the conference starts.
The event at the Palace Hotel will be opened by Health Minister Howard Quayle and during the day, survivors will tell their own stories.
The Forum's Derek Peters says they aim to highlight the latest thinking on cancer care:
The conference is open to all, free and starts at 10am.
