From daily activities like brushing your teeth, to staying active and coping with long term health conditions such as arthritis or asthma, you can learn more about self-care from today (Monday).
Health Minister David Anderson will officially kick start Self Care Week, an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the important role you can play in your own wellbeing.
It will officially start with an over 50’s walking football event at the National Sports Centre between 11am and 1pm with the department itself fielding a team.
Throughout the week, there’ll be poster displays at Noble’s Hospital, the NSC, Ramsey Cottage Hospital and Shoprite stores across the Island.
The public can come along to the walking football event and there’s more information about a dedicated online resource for self-care on the Government website at: gov.im/selfcare
