The Isle of Man has a new Second Deemster.
Andrew Corlett takes over the role from David Doyle, who was recently appointed First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls.
Deemster Corlett was educated at Ballasalla Primary School, King William's College and Pembroke College, Oxford, and had been a Deputy Deemster since November 2007.
Before that he was a partner in Dickinson Cruikshank for eleven years from 1984, Government Advocate from 1995 until 2001, and a director of Simcocks from 2001 to 2007.
Deemster Corlett says he has greatly enjoyed the challenges during his time as Deputy Deemster, and is particularly pleased that he will continue to sit mainly in the Family and Civil Divisons of the High Court.
He is married with two children.
