It was stopped on the second lap after an incident at the 11th Milestone by Burnside, just beyond Cronk y Voddy.
It's been confirmed the rider, Jamie Hamilton, was taken to Nobles by helicopter.
He's reported to have serious but not life threatening injuries
The race was re-started at 2.45pm over four laps.
