Assault took place at Jaks Bar and Smokehouse
A Douglas man will be sentenced in April after admitting punching a bouncer outside a Douglas bar.
Martin John Lewis Cairney, of Cronk Y Berry View, struck the man in the groin after being escorted from Jaks Bar and Smokehouse on 19 November last year.
At Douglas Courthouse the 45-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault; a charge of resisting a police officer was withdrawn by the prosecution.
A social enquiry report has been requested before Cairney learns his fate on 11 April; he’s been bailed until that date.
