Ali blows a storm
After a record-breaking summer for the Ronaldsway Met Office, the month of September also produced some remarkable statistics.
The Island saw mixed conditions, with unsettled weather through much of the month, countered by high pressure and drier conditions later.
Storm Ali on the 19th produced one of the more striking figures of the month - a peak gust of 58 knots at Ronaldsway was the strongest September gust on record.
The 4th had 12.5 hours of sunshine, making it the sunniest September day on record, but the highest temperature of 17.4 degrees celsius was the lowest peak since 1986.
Rainfall totaled 63 mm, which meant the 30-day period was about 20% below the long term average.
There was no hail or thunder, but there were three days with fog at Ronaldsway.
