September on the Isle of Man was the second warmest on record.
That's according to statistics from Ronaldsway Met Office which says the month was characterised by warm temperatures and light winds.
Only September 2006 was warmer but only just with a mean average of 15.4 celsius -compared with 15.3 this year.
The warmest day was 8 September when the mercury hit 25.1 celsius.
Rainfall at 46.5 millimetres was well below normal although 133 hours of bright sunshine was also down on the average of 142.
The highest gust of wind was recorded on the last day of the month, at 47mph, in what was otherwise the calmest September since 2014.
