There is disruption for motorists heading north this afternoon.
Two serious accidents, one on the TT course and one on the Laxey coast road, have led to long road closures.
The section between Ballig and Barregarrow has been shut since 7am after an incident involving a motorbike - it is now expected to reopen at 4pm
The road between Ballaragh junction in Laxey and the Dhoon Halt will be closed until at least 4.30pm.
The Department of Infrastructure says the only route north is via the Peel coast road.
Bus services have been diverted.
