It takes place in the Arboretum this afternoon
A service will take place this afternoon (Sunday) to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan in the second world war.
Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer will be in attendance at the service at the Burma Star Memorial in the St John's Arboretum.
VJ Day marks the anniversary of a series of events that brought about the end of World War II.
The service gets underway at 3pm.
