A church in the Isle of Man is holding a special service this evening (Thursday) to remember those who lost their lives on the Ellan Vannin.
The Steam Packet vessel sank in violent seas just off the coast of Liverpool 100 years ago today, with the loss of all 35 people on board.
Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Maughold Roman Catholic church on the promenade in Ramsey is holding a mass service at 7.30pm.
