Local companies to undertake construction
SES Satellite Leasing is preparing to start the construction of its new teleport at Carnane on the outskirts of Douglas.
The company, which is the largest of its kind in the world, has announced the work will be carried out by Sure and Stewart Clague Services.
SES announced its intentions in September last year, saying it wanted to expand its own capacity.
It also wants to provide opportunities to attract broadcast media companies to the Isle of Man, working with the Department of Economic Development.
