A 43 year-old Douglas man convicted of harassing a former MHK and local advocate has been jailed for seven months.
Jonathan Fletcher of Saddlestone was sentenced this afternoon (Friday) after being found guilty of the charge against former South Douglas member Bill Malarkey and advocate Hazel Smith.
Further convictions for harassment, for provoking behaviour and for breaching a suspended sentence for a bomb hoax in January last year led Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes to impose a seven month prison term in total.
Fletcher was given a two year anti-social behaviour order.
