A total of seven candidates will contest two by-elections on the Island next month.
Homemaker Amy Burns added her name to the list of candidates for Douglas south shortly before nominations closed today (Tuesday, April 21st).
She joins businessman Kurt Buchholz, Keith Fitton a registered nurse, and Douglas councillor Bill Malarkey.
The Douglas North contest will be between councillor David Ashford, shipping officer Maire Booth and businessman Ralph Peake.
The elections on May 21st will decide who'll replace Bill Henderson and David Cretney after they were elevated to the Legislative Council last month.
