First Tynwald sitting for Ray Harmer
The issue of sewage in Peel will be raised again in Tynwald next week, when the town’s new MHK asks his first parliamentary question.
Ray Harmer will ask the chairman of the Manx Utilities Authority Alf Cannan about his plans for a sewage treatment plant in the town.
Mr Harmer says the issue of water quality on the town’s beach has been hotly debated since a pipe was found to be leaking raw sewage into the sea.
And he says he wanted to use his first Tynwald sitting to ask for an update:
