Debate continues over termination criteria
A new legal query has been thrown up in the ongoing public debate over reform of the Island's abortion laws.
Responders to a public consultation have asked whether or not abortion could be prompted by sex selection requests.
A draft bill led by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson has already triggered controversy on how wider access to abortions for Manx women, could impact the disabled community here.
Pro choice and pro life campaign groups have entered close debate over what criteria for terminations should be included in any new legislation.
Dr Allinson says there's no concern that sex selection preferences will be considered on Island:
