The basking shark satellite tagging programme WILL continue this season.
Earlier it had been feared that it wouldn't be possible to carry out the valuable research this year due to a lack of funding.
In recent years the satellite tagging programme carried out by Manx Basking Shark Watch has provided unique information on the sharks' behaviour after they leave Manx waters.
