Manx National Heritage host 170 delegates
Fleece and ewe enthusiasts from across the globe are being herded to the Island this autumn for the North Atlantic Native Sheep and Wool Conference
Taking place from between 12th-15th of October, its aim is to promote, protect and encourage the breeding of certain iconic sheep breeds.
Hosted by Manx National Heritage, 170 delegates are expected for the gathering for a programme of lectures, farm visits, and demonstrations.
The event will be focused on building greater recognition for the breed heralded as a 'true emblem of the Island', the Manx Loaghtan.
Local organiser Nicky Pattinson says the conference will have a legacy and hopefully resurrect an interest in spinning and weaving.
