Initiatives all target need for safer highways
All users of roads on the Island have a shared responsibility to look out for each other and to be safe.
That's the appeal from Middle MHK Bill Shimmins after he voted against the Road Safety Strategy in Tynwald last week.
He believes other measures should be included in the document such as 20 mph speed limits in all residential areas.
Mr Shimmins says other elements such as the Highway Satisfaction Survey and the Active Travel initiative all feed in to the same areas of concern.
