DOI says road won't close completely
Middle MHK Bill Shimmins is querying the length of time it's set to take to regenerate Douglas promenade.
In the House of Keys tomorrow, (Tues 23rd) he will ask why it's necessary to shut the prom for three years to facilitate construction works.
The Department of Infrastructure says the stretch of road will not be completely closed during the project, hence the length of time set aside.
Even so, Mr Shimmins says he thinks it could be done more quickly:
