
A Manx-registered tanker which had been seized by pirates, has been freed along with its crew.
The Energy Centurion was taken on Tuesday morning off the coast of Togo by a gang who shipping authorities suspect wanted its cargo of oil.
The vessel was released in Nigerian waters and is back under the control of its master.
The 24-strong Russian crew has been released unharmed after the pirates stole 3,100 tonnes of gas oil as well as cash, valuables and equipment from the ship.
