
It is time to re-visit legislation which gives shop workers fewer rights now than they had in the 1950s.
That is according to the social legislation officer for the Trades Council who believes The Shops Act has restricted workers’ rights.
Workers used to have statutory rights to earn more wages on a Sunday and have regular Sunday’s off.
